Our son started learning to play the guitar thru the typical weekly lesson style at a local shop when he was 14. While he was definitely learning the basics of playing he wasn't really learning how to play that way. We took him to the open house in March of 2009 at the School of Rock in Easton and signed him up that day. The enthusiasm of the owner Ray, about the program and what it has to offer is really what sold us at first. After our son's first lesson he was sold and he's been a student ever since then. His playing ability has just gone through the roof and he's eager to learn everything he can from his incredible teachers. He has now picked up the bass as well and our youngest son has started drum lessons. The performances are a lot of fun to attend and they get to learn many different styles of playing and become vested musicians due to the entire process. From the owners Ray and Sue to all the teachers and directors you can feel the dedication and love of their crafts. We're so glad to have the SoR for our kids as it's given them a true education in music and performance which will help them grow as people.
