I read about the Easton SOR in the Morning Call Musikfest Insert. We visited the school and instantly loved it. It just abounds with kids having fun! My two sons were welcomed in by the staff and other kids right away. Both my sons were taking instrument lessons for many, many years and were growing bored. This school offers something that no other music school does...great instrument instruction from active musicians and continuous performance opportunities. The kids work really hard, but the pay-off is great. They enjoy the like-mindedness of the students, and have made great friends from many school districts. They have learned to work in a group atmosphere, learned responsibility, and learned to set goals. My older son has now found his passion in music. He is now enrolled in Lehigh Valley Performing Arts Charter High School and desires a career in the music business. Because of the staff and the varying ages of the students, the school has a "family atmosphere". There is a mentoring spirit between the young and old and beginner and advanced player. We travel 35 minutes 2-3 times per week to this unique school. I'm glad that Paul Green had the vision for such a school and that Sue and Ray Thierrin had the faith that this school would prosper in Easton.
